The Greyhound Walks Display Team was formed in early 2008 by an enthusiastic and some may say optimistic group of owners from Greyhound Walks, the Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire walking group.
We wanted to show that greyhounds were capable of doing more than just being able to run round a track chasing after a 'rabbit look-alike' (which we all know looks nothing like our small fuzzy friends).
Our dogs and owners prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
The team have put together a show which demonstrates obedience commands, and some of our greyhounds do individual 'star turns'. Coupled with this a small number of dogs show that they are even capable of (and really enjoy) doing Agility.
So there you have it, these wonderful greyhounds are capable of much more after the track; they can be trained; they can do agility; and as we already know they make wonderful pets and they are a great addition to any family.
