Hundreds of greyhounds descended on Nottingham on Saturday for the Retired Greyhound Trust's annual Great Greyhound Gathering.
The show, which was held at Nottingham Racecourse, Colwick Park, for the fifth year running, saw greyhounds and dogs of all breeds showcased in front of Crufts judges Keith Thornton, Ann Raymond and Lynda Race.
Retired greyhound Monty, who raced as Bua Montana from the Henlow kennels, won the showcase event Retired Greyhound of the Year. He snapped up £500 for the Retired Greyhound Trust branch that rehomed it - Barley Kennels in Waltham Abbey.
The prize pot was donated by Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Services (BAGS), the organisation which runs afternoon greyhound racing and a further £500 was donated to the Trust's central funds.
The event was officially opened by BBC East Midlands presenter Kylie Pentelow and her greyhound Lulu and BBC East Midlands sports presenter Natalie Jackson and her greyhound Rosie.
Peter Laurie, from the Retired Greyhound Trust, said: "This year's event was great success. Despite the weather, we have received some great support from people who came from across the country and raised lots of money for the charity. Thank you to everyone who came to support us.
"I would also like to thank our organisers Kim and Tim Holmes and Nottingham Greyhound Stadium's Rachel Corden, as well as BAGS for the generous prize pot and all of our other sponsors."
