The RGT was first established in 1975 and has homed some 45,000 dogs since then. We have 73 branches across the length and breadth of the UK, from the Isle of Skye to Jersey.
All branches need volunteers for dog walks and to assist with fundraising - can you help? Or, if you or someone you know is interested in adopting a new pet, browse the pages of this site to find out about greyhounds as pets.
If you would like to talk about adoption or helping in any other way, and cannot find what you want to know on this website, you are most welcome to call the RGT national office on 0844 826 8424, or of course you can email us.
Homing Policy
Greyhounds are very adaptable and our rehoming policies are very flexible. Even if you work, have children, cats or are unable to go for long walks, it is still worth calling us.
We may have the perfect greyhound for you in our kennels.
The policy of the Trust is that dogs are normally neutered, vaccinated and wormed and we do ask for a donation towards the cost of this veterinary treatment. All new homes are subject to a home check.
